We are thrilled to announce that AIFS Abroad is a finalist for the 2022 GoAbroad Innovation Awards! AIFS is honored to be a top 5 finalist for the Innovation in Diversity Award.

The Innovation in Diversity Award recognizes efforts to expand international educational opportunities to traditionally underrepresented groups. Last year, we launched the AIFS Plan of Action for Access, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (AIDE).

This multifaceted plan focuses on six key areas of the study abroad experience: Communications, Policies, Processes, Programs, Resources, and Staff and Training. Each theme has corresponding goals and accountability checkpoints to keep us focused on our goal to make international education programs accessible to more students.

GoAbroad states that “these awards acknowledge institutions, organizations, and individuals moving the field forward, and commend leaders in the community for their efforts to go beyond the conventional.”

Winners will be selected by the GoAbroad Innovation Award Academy, a committee of international education professionals. The Innovation Awards are presented annually during the GoAbroad reception at the national NAFSA conference. This year, the GoAbroad reception will be held on June 2, 2022 in Denver, Colorado.

Congratulations to all the finalists for their dedication to progress. We would like to commend The Cyril Taylor Charitable Foundation, a finalist for the Innovation in Philanthropy Award. Sponsored by the GoAbroad Foundation, this award honors organizations that demonstrate innovative corporate responsibility and philanthropic commitments. AIFS is pleased to be an integral part of The Cyril Taylor Charitable Foundation, which received this nomination for funding scholarships related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

We’re proud of the work we do every day to offer high quality, cutting-edge study abroad and intern abroad programs.

AIFS Abroad was previously awarded the GoAbroad award for Innovation in Alumni Engagement in 2020. Our goal is to continue to pioneer the field of international education. From our new Global Education Centers to the AIFS Abroad Green Initiative, we will continue to provide trailblazing programs to students.

Ready to explore our innovative programs for yourself? Discover how you can have an enriching experience abroad that you’ll never forget.
